Alonzo Long Dies At His Home in Lynn. We learn with much sorrow of the death of Mr. Alonzo Long, of Lynn, which took place Tuesday. Mr. Long was a prominent business man, and was very successful in everything he undertook in a business way and he will be greatly missed in the community. He was an uncle of our banker, William Walker, and Mr. Walker left for Lynn as soon as he could after hearing of his uncle’s death. Mr. Long had not been in good health for some time. The immediate cause of his death is not known.—Double Springs Herald.

Lonzo Long Dies At Lynn. Lonzo Long, aged 45, a well and favorably known citizen of Lynn, died at that place last Wednesday morning from a sudden attack of illness. He had been in his usual health and was pursuing his usual duties until the night before he died. After passing a bad night, he became dangerously ill Wednesday morning. A physician was called, but before the doctor’s arrival he was dead. Heart trouble is supposed to have been the cause of his death. He had just returned from Birmingham a day or two before, where he went to bring his aged father home from a hospital. His father has been very ill, but no one suspected that the son was so near death. Lonzo Long was a son of W.R. Long, of Lynn, and was well and favorable known in Jasper. He was buried at Lynn Thursday with Masonic honors. The deceased is survived by a wife and several children. [William L. Long, 11 Aug 1867 - 20 Aug 1913; buried Lynn Cemetery]
