Bailey Cemetery, Winston County, Alabama, T10S R7W S27

This is a one grave cemetery in Houston.  There are no dates on the stone, 
but the name "DR. Bailey" is on there.

According to the Register of Deaths, a James William Bailey was born about 
January 9, 1829 in South Carolina, and died April 9, 1894.  He was married, 
and he was a physician.  The cause of death was hydrothorox, and he was 
buried in Houston.

From Probate Final Record: James W. Bailey had no will, and he died on April 
9, 1894.  Widow was Mary E.  Sons: T/F.H. Bailey, W.G. Bailey, James Bailey, 
Thomas Bailey, and Dink Bailey.  Daughters: Almelie Cox, Francis Bailey, Jennie 
Wade, and Elizabeth Howette Weldon (deceased at this time).

Heading east on Hwy. 278, turn right on County Road 63.  Go 1.4 miles.  Right
before you go off the hill, there will be a small road to the right.  As soon
as you start going up the hill on this small road, the grave will be about 
fifty feet off the road on the right behind a cedar tree.
