Cora Lee Whatley, 86, of Double Springs, died April 24 at Carraway Burdick West Medical Center. Funeral services were April 27 at Pleasant Hill No. 2, with Nelson Bullard and Bill Frank Wilson officiating and Nichols Funeral Home directing. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery.

She is survived by a son, Lynn F. Whatley, Double Springs; a brother, James Peak Jr., Double Springs; a sister, Kate Peak Dailey, Centerville; and other friends and relatives.
