Mrs. G.W. Hilton dies at home of son here. She was an aged and highly respected lady who resided with her son James M. Hilton and family of this place. She died Sunday Feb. 14, 1926. She had been in feeble health for several years and having served well her alloted number of years here on earth, gently and quietly passed on to her reward in heaven. She and her husband came to this country from Georgia 54 years ago. Her husband preceded her in death sixteen years ago. Two children were also on the other shore to welcome her arrival. Joe Hilton and Mrs. Rhoda Falls. She was born in Georgia Sept. 11, 1844, was a faithful constant member of the Corinth Baptist Church for many years and was laid to rest Monday Feb. 15, 1926 in the cemetery there. Rev. A.B. Curtis conducted the service. Six children survived her, Mrs. Noah McCullar, Double Springs Rt. 3, Mrs. B.J. Cowart, Haleyville, Mrs. W.W. Hill, Brace, Tenn; James M. Hilton, Double Springs; A. Wash Hilton, Natural Bridge; A.C. and Will R. Hilton.
