On Monday morning, March 7, between 3 and 4 o'clock the death angels visited the Stanley home and carried away the aged father, Mr. I. A. Stanley. He was 92 years of age and has gone through many trials and temptations. He was an old confederate soldier and was loved by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his death his three children: Mr. J. L. Stanley of Haleyville, Mr. W. J. Stanley of Albertville and Mrs. M. C. Garman of Riversdale, Georgia. Also twenty-three grandchildren, 43 greatgrand-children and six grgrgrandchildren.

He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and a lover of all religious activities. A vacant place is left which can never be filled. He was laid to rest at New Prospect Cemetery and Rev. Carlos Radford conducted the funeral services. His grandchildren served as pall bearers.
