James Hollis Alexander of Birmingham, 39, died Thursday, January 27, 1977, in that city. Funeral was held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Union Grove FreeWill Baptist Church with interment at the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. W.H. McCauley officiated and Collins Funeral Home directed. Survivors are his wife, Sandra Vest Alexander; two daughters, Margaret Diane and Vera Deanne Alexander; three sons, James Phillip Alexander of Ft. Campbell, Ky; James Eric Alexander and George Steven Alexander, both of Birmingham; parents, James Troy Alexander of Double Springs and Mary Alexander of Jsper; two sisters, Roberta Wisner of Kenwick, Wash; and mary Frances Stripling of Mobile; two brothers, William Troy Alexander of Double Springs and Edward Junior Alexander of Demopolis; one stepsister, Jenella Alexander of Jasper; one stepbrother, Rayburn Humphries of Double Springs; and grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Myers of Jasper.
