Mabel E. Wideman

Westville, Ill- Mabel E. Wideman, 85 of Westville, died at 5:15 a.m. Monday (March 31, 1986) at St. Elizabeth Hospital after an extended illness.

She was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed flowers, painting and reading her Bible. Born June 13 1900, in Double Springs, Ala., daughter of William and Tennie Jones McCullar. Survivors: three daughters, Judy Price of Westville, with whom she made her home, Mrs. Leroy (Marjorie) Sanders of Central Park and Mrs. Dean Stovall of Birmingham, Ala.; two grandsons, Mitchel Jackson of Westville and Bob Taylor of Danville; two granddaughters, LaDonna Thompson and Darlene Sanders, both of Columbus, Miss.; five great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother in Alabama. She was preceded in death by a son who was killed in action in 1945 while in the Navy and a grandson, whom she reared, who was killed in action in 1969 while stationed in the Army in Vietnam.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Funeral Home; Officiating Bishop Lou Sponseller; Burial Sunset Memorial Park; Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
