You are correct. Lucy was the daughter of Rachel A. Berry. I have copies of estate records for Rachel and Lucy A. Montgomery, wife of R. A. Montgomery is listed as her daughter. Rachel's husband was Salathiel Berry. I also have copies of their Confederate Pension papers. According to my research thus far there were 8 children. Lucy, Rosa Bell, Martha, Robert, Martin, Joel or Joseph, Benjamin F. and Mattie. There was a William listed on the 1880 census but I think this was probably Joel or Martin. Salathiel was listed on the 1860 census as a Minister of Gospel. His pension papers stated he died in prison during the Civil War. The above Martha and Rosa Bel were listed as children on the 1860 census but not listed in 1870. If you want copies of anything email me and we'll talk.
