John B. Pugh was the son of James Pugh and Frances Whitworth. He was born ca 1836 in Cherokee Co., Georgia and died between Mar 1864 and April 1865 in the Civil War. He married Eliza Ann Wilson, daughter of James M. Wilson and Nancy Emily Bell, about 1858 in Cherokee Co., Georgia. John B. and Eliza's youngest child, John Philip Pugh, was born in Winston Co. Dec 10, 1864.
