Synthia is buried at Pleasant Hill near Houston, Alabama. She was the daughter of Frederick Rivers and Synthia Knight Rivers. She married Reuben Abraham Waid, buried at Littleville Church Cemetery, Haleyville. She was his second wife. Together they had three children:
Hilluard Beason Wade (never married); buried next to his father at Littleville
Susie Ann Irene Waid m. Lee Johns; buried Mt. Nebo Church Cemetery, St. Joseph Tennessee
Lucy Jane Lettie Waid m. Elisha Crumpton; buried at Hillcrest Cemetery, Haleyville, Alabama
