Izora L. (Shank) Scogins (1853 - 1928) and James Abel Scogins (1845 - 1919). Scogins was in Captain Walden's Company B of the 2nd Battalion of Hilliard's Legion of Alabama Volunteers, CSA. Izora was daughter of John Shank, who died at Natural Bridge in 1896. Izora is a sister of Frances, who married Alexander M. Alford. Izora and James are buried at Pleasant Hill at Houston.
