R.M. Shipman, a good old man, well known in this community as “Uncle Babe” died at the residence of Rev. E.B. Welborn Tuesday, and was interred at Fairview Wednesday. He has many relatives to mourn his departure. [Shipman has a hand carved monument in the Fairview Cemetery, but no dates were recorded]
