The station is on the right, 35 feet west of the centerline of the gravel road, 23 feet west of the highway direction sign, opposite the road to the east and the fire tower. It is thought the mark was destroyed by construction of a drainage ditch. Recovery note by Alabama Power Company, 1955: Station Moreland surface mark destroyed by road construction. Sub-surface mark no. 2 destroyed. TT 11 D 1929 was moved during construction of road. All these points were searched for early in January 1955, and the original discs were taken from the monuments which had been pushed several feet beyond their original position into a gulley.
